It happens to every investor from time to time. We sell a stock that’s pulled back and met our sell rules, and as soon as we do, it starts going back up again. Sometimes it keeps going up and we kick ourselves for selling too soon. Sometimes, however, the bounce-back is short lived. It goes back up until it nears the previous high and then sells off again, even falling below the previous low. Why does that happen?
