Come on Canada….let’s win this thing! Worry Free Investing Challenge.

Mar 15 SOTWThe Worry Free Investing Challenge is underway. Come on Canada. Let’s win this thing!

It seems VectorVest has already received several entries that beat the benchmark 6.74 Portfolio Score. Is one of them yours?

I would love it if a member of our VectorVest Canada community can capture one of the three grand prize awards:

1st Place – $5,000
2nd Place – $2,500
3rd Place – 1,250

Register Now for our Weekly Q&A. What’s your top Portfolio Score so far? What do you believe is working well? What’s not working? I would love to hear from you in advance by email or during our regular weekly SOTW Q&A Tuesday, March 15 at 12:30 p.m. ET. Friday’s SOTW Video was all about FAQ’s related to the WFI Challeng. On Tuesday, let’s share a few tips and ideas and run a few tests. Of course we’ll also study the markets in RealTime and see what stocks are driving the market higher or lower.

Here’s one important tip for you: Start your backtesting in WEEKLY mode. It’s under the Account Settings tab. It will make your initial testing go a lot faster. Once you have a good result you want to test out in daily mode, simply copy and change the Account Settings back to daily mode.

My Best Score So Far: While my score of 15.25 handily beat VectorVest’s Benchmark of 6.74, I’m not very happy with the Maximum Drawdown. The 38.41% drawdown came not surprisingly in 2008, but that would have been hard to take. Still some work to be done!
