The Energy Index rose by 1.25% today, leading the TSX higher by about 71 points. Among the top price gainers was Chinook Energy (CKE) up 13% and Macro Enterprises (MCR) up 10.88%. Financials and Materials also had a good day, both sectors up more than one-half a percent.
