WATCHLIST UPDATES: Look for several Stock/ETF additions and deletions being made in our Special WatchLists early next week. We conduct a monthly review of our four Special WatchLists in the Canadian Database: DRIPS, Monthly Dividend Payers, WOW Dividend Growth, and WOW Value and Growth. It’s been another challenging month with several companies either discontinuing their DRIPS, suspending their dividends and/or moving to Quarterly dividends from Monthly. There’s no other service out there that I’m aware of that tries to provide comprehensive, regularly updated lists in the same way we do at VectorVest. It can be a challenge to keep up-to-date in times like these, especially with what’s happening in the oil sector. The WOW WatchLists stands for WatchList of WatchLists. We research several leading magazines including MoneySense, MoneySaver, Investor’s Digest, Canadian Business and others as well as the BNN guest picks to find stock ideas they are covering. Each month several new ideas are added and a few are removed when they have fallen off the radar. If the stocks are being widely discussed and promoted, they will make the list regardless whether ratings by VectorVest are good, bad or just fair.
There are several interesting stock ideas that are being added to our lists this week including DRT, PHM and NHC. PHM and NHC are healthcare stocks that have cracked VectorVest’s top 10 VST stocks over the last few weeks. DRT is one of the most widely mentioned for its innovative solutions to interior office space. NOTE the Flag pattern at right edge. If it breaks above the Flag trend line, it could resume its upward march.
Several new, ETFs have been added as the magazine and BNN guests have increased their coverage as ETFs gain in popularity. Most favoured by the media analysts are the ‘low cost’ ETFs. Vanguard led the way in this regard and other management companies have followed up and in some cases have forced Vanguard to lower their fees even further.

SGL and TET have suspended dividends for now while the others will pay quarterly dividends.
